Seeds

Pool A: Netherlands (1), Germany (4), USA (5), Austria (8)
Pool B: Mongolia (2), Poland (3), Spain (6), Canada (7)

The Favorites

Spain has been the most consistently dominating team in this year's Women's Series. They were the winners of the event in Mies earlier this year and finished second at Voiron and Klaipeda. Fifth-ranked player in the FIBA 3x3 rankings, Sandra Ygueravide returns to the team as the 2021 Women's Series' current top scorer (103 points) and an MVP frontrunner.

Germany, the winners at Constanta, the most recent WS event is back and ready to prove they weren't a one hit wonder. Sonja Greinacher, Germany's season leading scorer was named MVP of the event after topping all players in scoring, player value and rebounds.

With France not participating, the USA is the only other country in the field with a 2021 Women's Series title win to their name. The Americans were victorious at Klaipeda, defeating Spain in the final. Breanna Richardson returns from their squad and welcomes Hailey Van Lith, the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup 2019 MVP, playing in her first Women's Series event.

The Field

Poland is the number two ranked team in the Women's Series standings, and have secured their place in the final. They have Klaudia Sosnowska to thank for that, the number three ranked women's 3x3 player in the world and the third leading scorer on tour this year.

Mongolia is also back in action, having played in three events this year, never finishing higher than 8th. They welcome their entire Olympic squad to Montreal, hoping to finish the season strong after an up and down year.

The Netherlands, the number one seed, is coming off of their best performance of the year, finishing second at Constanta. They come in to the event missing their top three leading scorers this season, and will be relying more heavily on Loyce Bettonvil to create offense.

Canada, the home team, and Austria round out the field as the the 7th and 8th seeds.
